Unlike conventional central air conditioning systems, a heat pump provides comfort during the hottest summer days and cold winter nights. In the summer a heat pump works like an air conditioner to keep your home cool. In the winter, a reversing valve reverses the refrigerant flow, allowing the system to provide warm air to comfortably hear your home.

York heat pumps are rated as one of the top heat pumps in the market by the ACEE (American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy). When matched with a compatible York variable-speed air handler or gas furnace, efficiency levels about 18 SEER can be achieved.
